Purple Martins are the largest swallows and depend almost entirely on human-provided housing to survive.
Their numbers are declining, especially in Michigan, due to habitat loss and predators.
Penny Briscoe, from the Kalamazoo Audubon Society, will be here to talk about their characteristics, suitable and safe housing along with attracting and keeping Purple Martins.
