The Faygo Book
Learn how Faygo pop came to be, how it grew to become a giant independent bottler and its tough choice between growing and staying. There will be photos from The Faygo Book, a pop quiz and maybe a singalong. The Faygo Book is a 2019 Michigan Notable Book.

We will welcome Mike Forne, author and member of the Historical Society of Michigan, to the library. Mike has covered the Mackinac Bridge for 26 years for several media outlets in Northern Michigan. Join us as we learn about one of our state's most iconic landmarks! Call the library to RSVP.

Illustrating and Annotating The Hobbit
The library welcomes Marcellus resident and author Douglas A. Anderson for a presentation on the storyline and illustrations of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. Anderson will tell how this book has been accepted and represented in various countries around the world. We will also take a look at Tolkien's life and his creation of the world of Middle-earth.

Informational meeting on high-speed internet. Drop in to talk with representatives from MEC.
Sailing the Ocean, Powered by Wind
Elisabeth Wenger and Remi Lavergne will describe their work as ship's carpenter and captain on a sailing ship, a replica of the ships used for trade and exploration before steam engines were invented. Learn how the ship's crew use old skills and a sextant as they transport cargo - cacao, coffee and rum - across the Atlantic. Call the library to RSVP.
